1 year old...Happy Birthday Jillian!

Today is Jillian's 1st birthday. It's hard to believe that 1 year ago today this little angel came into our world...and now we have this little ball of personality...

What is she up to??

• She took two steps earlier this week, but since then has shown no interest in walking. She will push her baby doll stroller around and is still cruising, but whenever we try to get her to stand up and walk to one of us she plops right down or arches her back so she doesn't have to stand.
• She tried ice cream for the first time at her birthday party and LOVED it. She has definitely gotten a larger appetite recently. We are very interested to see what the scale will say on Monday for her 1 year check-up.
• She still sleeps for about 12-13 hours a night and then takes 2 naps during the day each about 1 hour each...give or take a little
• She points at EVERYTHING and says "dat," like she's asking "what's that?" We tell her what it is then she moves on to the next thing. She's so curious!
• She loves being outside for anything!
• She loves other kids...especially older kids. She'll just watch them in awe.
• Her third tooth (her first on the top) finally poked through. I've felt it for a while, but now you can finally see it.

It's hard to put into words what the past year has been like...while she wasn't the easiest baby (can't imagine where she gets her difficult personality from???) she has brought so much joy to our lives. Jillian has been and continues to be the most wonderful gift to Frank and I. We can't imagine how we ever lived without her! Happy Birthday Jilly Bean! We are so happy to be your parents and we love you more than you could possibly imagine!
