A Day at the Beach

Jillian had her first visit to the Beach last Friday. Daddy took her to Surfside Beach on his day off. She had a great time building sandcastles, playing in the water, and collecting seashells.

When I was pregnant with Jillian and on bed rest, my friend Marissa showed me a picture of a bookshelf in the Pottery Barn Kids catalog that I just had to have. Needless to say it was a little more money than I was willing to pay, so Frank said he would make it for me and make one for Marissa too (she was pregnant at the time, too.) That was 2 years and 4 months ago. Marissa got her's on Justin's 1st birthday. Jillian got hers this past weekend!

It's been a long time...

It's been almost 2 months since I posted anything. I wish I could say I have a good excuse, but nothing more than life! So what have we been up to.

I finished up the school year and have been off from work for the past 2 weeks. I have loved spending time with my munchkin!! It has been SUPER H-O-T, so we have been taking walks in the morning and then spending the afternoon indoors or going to the pool.

And BIG NEWS in the Beck household...little miss Jillian has started using the big girl potty!! She went for the first time a week ago today and then showed no interest again until today. Today she said "I go potty" and it caught on...she went 5 more times!! So we went to the store and bought pull-ups and big girl panties. She gets the biggest grin on her face when I cheer when she goes (sorry for the mental image!)

A few weeks ago when the "end of the world was coming," Daddy thought we should be prepared...

We are having a lot of fun with Jillian at this age. She talks NON-STOP and says the funniest things. She loves to sing songs and say her prayers. I've been trying to get it on video, but someone doesn't like to perform for the camera...Oh well! I'm sure it will happen soon!

2 year portraits

Oops...I forgot about these! We went to a portrait party a few weeks before Jillian's birthday. We got a couple good shots, so we decided to make these her 2 year portraits.

First Swim of the year!

A few days before Jillian's birthday it was warm enough for us to break out the swimsuit and swimming pool for Jillian to play with. She loved it!

Easter 2011

We had a nice quiet Easter at home this year. We dyed eggs with Jillian for the first time. It was too windy to do it outside, so we did it inside. I almost had a panic attack throughout the whole ordeal, but Jillian had a great time and Frank enjoyed watching me freak out (story of my life!) This morning the Easter bunny came to visit then my parents came over for a late lunch. Happy Easter everyone!

Liggio Easter Egg Hunt 2011

Last weekend we had the 1st annual Liggio Easter Egg Hunt at my Aunt Diane's house. We had so much fun watching the kids do some of the same things we used to do when we were little.

2nd Birthday

It's only taken me 3 weeks to get this written, but here it goes...

Jillian's 2nd birthday was wonderful! We had a blast...much easier than the 1st birthday. We did a Minnie Mouse theme, had a moonwalk and pizza. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate our sweet girl's birthday! She had the best time (in fact she woke up from her nap the next Saturday saying "birthday party?")
